🔗 Lace

is a delicate fabric made of yarn or thread in an open weblike pattern, made by machine or by hand. Generally, lace is split into two main categories, needlelace and bobbin lace, although there are other types of lace, such as knitted or crocheted lace. Other laces such as these are considered as a category of their specific craft. Knitted lace, therefore, is an example of knitting. This article considers both needle lace and bobbin lace.

🔗 Brocade

is a decorative fabric traditionally woven from silk, cotton, viscose, or polyester, featuring raised patterns that resemble fine embroidery. Renowned for its rich texture and luxurious appearance, brocade has long been associated with elegance and ceremonial attire.

🔗 Embossed

is a textile that features a raised, three-dimensional pattern created through heat and pressure. This technique adds texture, depth, and visual interest without needing extra layers or embroidery.

🔗 Song Brocade宋静面料,

known as Song Jin, is one of China’s most esteemed traditional silk fabrics, originating from the Song Dynasty. Renowned for its intricate weaving techniques and refined patterns, Song Brocade embodies centuries of craftsmanship and cultural heritage.

Mulberry silk香云纱

is renowned for its exquisite softness, natural sheen, and superior quality. Woven from the finest silkworm fibres fed exclusively on mulberry leaves, this premium silk offers exceptional smoothness and a graceful drape. Its breathable and lightweight nature provides ultimate comfort while exuding timeless elegance.

🔗 Cotton

is a soft, fluffy staple fiber that grows in a boll, or protective case, around the seeds of the cotton plants of the genus Gossypium in the mallow family Malvaceae. The fiber is almost pure cellulose, and can contain minor percentages of waxes, fats, pectins, and water. Under natural conditions, the cotton bolls will increase the dispersal of the seeds.

🔗 Tweed

is a rough, woollen fabric, of a soft, open, flexible texture, resembling cheviot or homespun, but more closely woven. It is usually woven with a plain weave, twill or herringbone structure. Colour effects in the yarn may be obtained by mixing dyed wool before it is spun.

🔗 Thai silk

is produced from the cocoons of Thai silkworms. Thailand's silkworm farmers cultivate both types of the domesticated silkworms that produce commercial silk: Samia ricini, commonly known as the eri silkworm, which produces matte eri silk, and the Bombyx mori, producer of the better known, glossy mulberry silk. The latter is by far the larger silk producer of the two.

🔗Thai Silk Embroidery

is the art of decorating fabric or other materials using a needle to stitch thread or yarn. Embroidery may also incorporate other materials such as pearls, beads, quills, and sequins. In modern days, embroidery is usually seen on hats, clothing, blankets, and handbags.

🔗 Chiffon

is a lightweight, balanced plain-woven sheer fabric, or gauze, like gossamer, woven of alternate S- and Z-twist crepe (high-twist) yarns. Crepe yarn tends to have a tighter twist than standard yarns. The twist in the crepe yarns puckers the fabric slightly in both directions after weaving, giving it some stretch and a slightly rough feel.

🔗 Silk

is a natural protein fiber, some forms of which can be woven into textiles. The protein fiber of silk is composed mainly of fibroin and is produced by certain insect larvae to form cocoons. The best-known silk is obtained from the cocoons of the larvae of the mulberry silkworm Bombyx mori reared in captivity (sericulture). The shimmering appearance of silk is due to the triangular prism-like structure of the silk fibre, which allows silk cloth to refract incoming light at different angles, thus producing different colors.

 🔗Organza

is a thin, plain weave, sheer fabric traditionally made from silk. Many modern organzas are woven with synthetic filament fibers such as polyester or nylon. Silk organza is woven by a number of mills along the Yangtze River and in the province of Zhejiang in China. A coarser silk organza is woven in the Bangalore area of India. Deluxe silk organzas are woven in France and Italy. Organza is distinguished by its crisp hand, stiffness relative to weight, and slippery surface texture.

 🔗 Linen

is a flax-based textile that is predominantly used for homeware applications. While linen is similar to cotton, it is made from fibers derived from the stems of the flax plant instead of the bolls that grow around cotton seeds.

🔗 Tencel

fibres are naturally soft and smooth to the touch, offering exceptional breathability and long-lasting comfort. Derived from sustainable wood sources, Tencel combines the beauty of natural texture with modern performance. Its gentle drape and subtle sheen make it an ideal choice for garments that embody effortless elegance and comfort.

 🔗 Woven fabric

is crafted by interlacing two sets of yarns — warp and weft — to create a strong, structured textile with a refined finish. This classic weaving technique offers durability, shape retention, and a smooth surface ideal for tailored designs.

 🔗 Cupro

is a luxurious regenerated cellulose fibre made from cotton linter — the delicate, silky fibres surrounding the cotton seed. Known for its smooth, silk-like texture and excellent breathability, Cupro drapes beautifully and feels exceptionally soft against the skin.

🔗 Velvet

is a luxurious fabric distinguished by its soft, dense pile and rich texture, creating a plush and opulent appearance. Traditionally woven from silk, cotton, or synthetic fibres, velvet is prized for its depth, sheen, and elegant drape.

🔗 ACT fabric

is a versatile textile known for its durability, softness, and comfortable wear. Crafted from a blend of high-quality fibres, it combines resilience with a smooth handfeel, making it suitable for structured or flowing designs alike.

🔗 Double-face fabric

is a premium textile woven to display finished surfaces on both sides, offering versatility, depth, and a luxurious feel. Renowned for its structure and drape, it provides a clean, polished appearance without the need for additional lining.

🔗 Georgette

is a lightweight, sheer fabric known for its soft, slightly crinkled texture and graceful drape. Traditionally made from silk or polyester, it offers fluidity and movement, making it ideal for flowing garments and delicate detailing.

🔗 Denim

is a durable woven fabric, traditionally made from cotton, characterized by its distinctive twill weave and robust texture. Known for its versatility and timeless appeal, denim can be both casual and refined depending on its weight and finish.

🔗 Shantung silk

is a lustrous, textured fabric distinguished by its subtle slubs and natural irregularities, giving each piece a unique character. Traditionally woven from pure silk, it offers a crisp hand, elegant drape, and a refined sheen that enhances sophisticated designs.

🔗 Knitted fabric

is created through the interlooping of yarns, producing a soft, flexible, and highly comfortable textile. Unlike woven materials, knitting allows natural stretch and resilience, offering excellent drape and ease of movement.

Pleated fabric

is a textile treated with carefully crafted folds, creating texture, movement, and a sculptural elegance. The pleating process enhances the fabric’s dimensionality while maintaining its drape and flow, making it ideal for sophisticated designs.

🔗 Satin

is a luxurious fabric distinguished by its smooth surface, subtle sheen, and elegant drape. Woven using a special technique that creates a glossy front and a matte reverse, satin exudes sophistication and refinement in every movement.

🔗 GTF (General Textile Fabric)

is a versatile and reliable material commonly used in fashion and craft applications. It is known for its smooth texture, stable structure, and consistent quality, making it suitable for dresses, tops, uniforms, and various sewing projects.
